In Bar Rescue season 6 episode 7, titled "Back to the Bar: Stubborn Owners," host Jon Taffer revisits some of the most difficult owners from past seasons to see if they have taken his advice and turned their bars around.
The episode starts with Taffer traveling to Arizona to check on the owners of The Wheelhouse, a biker bar that was struggling due to poor management and a disrespectful staff. Despite Taffer's best efforts during the original episode, the owners continued to resist his recommendations and fell back into old habits. Taffer is ready to confront them and see if they have finally made the necessary changes.
Next, Taffer heads to Colorado to meet the owners of The Kasbah, a hookah bar that was dealing with a chaotic atmosphere and a lack of profitability. During the original episode, the owners were resistant to Taffer's suggestions, but Taffer is hopeful that they have seen the error of their ways in the months since he last visited.
From there, Taffer travels to New York to check on the owners of Murphys Bar and Grill, a family-run establishment that was struggling with managing their finances and maintaining a consistent customer base. Taffer is eager to see if they have implemented his strategies for success.
The episode then takes a turn as Taffer visits a former bar that has since closed down. The Dive Bar was a dive bar in Las Vegas that was in dire need of Taffer's help. Despite making some initial improvements, The Dive Bar ultimately failed to turn things around. Taffer heads back to the bar to see what went wrong and offer advice for what could have been done differently.
Finally, Taffer returns to The Hooch, a bar in the heart of Las Vegas that was plagued by an unprofessional staff and a lack of consistency in its menu offerings. Despite some initial pushback, the owners ultimately embraced Taffer's suggestions and made significant progress in their business.
Throughout the episode, Taffer reflects on his experiences with each of these bar owners and highlights the importance of being open to change in order to achieve success in the competitive bar industry. As always, he does not hold back when it comes to confronting the owners who have failed to take his advice, but he also offers encouragement and support to those who have made progress.
