As Baki prepares for the tournament, he is met by various opponents who all want to fight him. One of those opponents is Doppo Orochi, a martial arts master who trained Baki's father. Doppo fights Baki to test his abilities and to see if he is capable of entering the underground tournament. Baki shows impressive skills and beats Doppo.

Later, Baki meets another opponent named Jack Hammer, a wrestler who was dismissed from his sport due to his violent nature. Jack challenges Baki to a fight, but Baki refuses. Jack then tries to attack Baki, but Retsu intervenes and challenges Jack instead.

The episode ends with Retsu and Jack fighting, and Baki preparing for the underground martial arts tournament. As Baki enters the tournament, he hopes to find his father and prove his worth as a fighter.
