Back to Christmas is a heartwarming family drama embraced by Ion Television in 1996 and produced till 2001. The movie features Shirley Douglas, Kathy Greenwood and Tyrone Savage in the lead roles. It follows several Christmas fairy tale legends, and many elements are seen in its story.

The plot focuses on a woman who's unhappy with her life and never satisfied with her choices. The woman is named Ali, portrayed by Jennifer Beals. She has everything she's ever wanted, but it's not enough for her. She's bored with her life and frustrated with her husband. One day, she wishes she could go back and fix everything that went wrong in her life.

The next day, she wakes up in her old room at her parents' house, surrounded by the things she had before she was an adult. She's confused and disoriented until she finds out that she's actually back in time, a week before Christmas, in 1985. She's been given a second chance to fix her mistakes and make sure that her life turns out the way she wants it to.

She's happy to see her old friends and family, but they don't recognize her. She tries to explain to them, but they think she's crazy. She has to start over and make new connections, knowing what she knows about everyone's future. Ali then has to go out of her way to change the events and undo her past mistakes while keeping an eye on her husband's well-being in the future.
