The Barnyard Games/War of the Pranks is the sixth episode in season 1 of Back at the Barnyard. This animated series follows the wacky adventures of animals who live on a barnyard run by a cow named Otis and his barnyard friends.
In this episode, the animals in the barnyard decide to have their own version of the Olympic Games called The Barnyard Games. They create events that are appropriate for farm animals, such as a hay bale lifting competition and a chicken egg lay-off. The winner of each event receives a gold medal.
Otis is excited to participate in The Barnyard Games and pushes himself to do well in each event. He is determined to win as many medals as possible. Otis even goes as far as trying to cheat in one of the events to ensure he wins.
As The Barnyard Games continue, there is a prank war that breaks out between Otis and his best friend Pip, a mouse. Otis starts the war by putting a whoopee cushion on Pip's chair. This leads to a back and forth of pranks between the two friends, including Pip rigging Otis' water bucket to soak him with water.
When the final event of The Barnyard Games arrives, Otis is tied with Pig for the most gold medals. The final event is a race, and whoever wins will be declared the champion of The Barnyard Games. However, as Otis and Pig are about to begin the race, they realize that they both want to throw the race to allow another animal to win.
Otis wants to lose the race so that he can pull off one final prank on Pip and claim victory in the prank war. Pig wants to lose the race so that he can impress his crush, a female pig named Petunia.
In the end, Otis and Pig both cross the finish line at the same time, creating a tie and resulting in them both winning the gold medal. However, they both end up losing the race to their chosen animals. Otis is beaten by Pip, who had rigged the race in his favor, and Pig is beaten by his crush Petunia.
As the episode comes to a close, Otis and Pip call a truce in their prank war, and Otis realizes that winning isn't everything. Pig also learns that it's important to be honest with himself and others about who he really is. The animals all celebrate with a barn dance, and the episode ends with them looking forward to The Barnyard Games next year.
