In season 1 episode 20 of Back at the Barnyard entitled "School of Otis/Top Cow," the animals of the barnyard take it upon themselves to teach Otis how to be a proper leader. When the farmer goes away on vacation, Otis must step up and take charge as the temporary leader of the barnyard. However, he quickly realizes he has a lot to learn about leadership and turns to his animal friends for help. They set up a "School of Otis" to teach him proper leadership skills, but chaos ensues when Pig, as the school principal, becomes power-hungry and starts bossing everyone around.
Meanwhile, in the second half of the episode, the animals decide to hold a talent show with the winner receiving the title of "Top Cow." But when Bessy, the most skilled cow on the farm, refuses to participate due to her hatred of talent shows, Otis must convince her to participate in order to maintain the integrity of the competition. However, Bessy's stubbornness causes quite a few problems and threatens to ruin the talent show altogether.
Throughout the episode, the animals learn valuable lessons about leadership, teamwork, and the importance of standing up for oneself. With plenty of humor and heartwarming moments, "School of Otis/Top Cow" is an enjoyable episode for viewers of all ages.
