Babar and the Adventures of Badou is a Canadian animated television series that follows the adventures of Babar's grandson, Badou. In season 3 episode 7, Musiquest / Boo-Nanas, Badou and his friends embark on a musical adventure to find the missing pieces of a magical musical instrument before the enchantress Lady Rataxes does.
The episode begins with Babar announcing the annual Musiquest, a musical competition where contestants play the magical music stone to win a prize. Badou, with his friends Chiku and Jake, decide to participate in Musiquest to win the prize-- tickets to the Banana Day Festival. However, Lady Rataxes, the queen of the Crocodiles, also desires to win Musiquest to claim the prize tickets. Lady Rataxes schemes with her loyal servant, Sleek, to steal the missing pieces of the magical music stone so that she can win the Musiquest.
Badou and his friends are excited to participate in Musiquest and prepare to compete in the competition. As they practice, they realize that the magical music stone is incomplete and that they need to find the missing pieces before the competition. Badou remembers his grandfather's story about the magical music stone and decides to embark on a musical adventure to find the missing pieces.
The trio follows the clues and crosses the river to reach a jungle, where they meet Pappy’s old friend, Elephantzar. Elephantzar tells them the story of the legendary musician, Tuskaro, and how he hid the missing pieces of the magical music stone to keep it away from evil hands. Elephantzar also tells them about the enchanted bananas called Boo-Nanas, which grew in the dark, scary forest across the jungle.
Badou and his friends gather courage and set forth on an adventure to find the Boo-Nanas and the missing pieces of the magical music stone. As they enter the dark, scary forest, they encounter spooky creatures and must use their musical talents to overcome their fears and navigate through the forest. They eventually find the Boo-Nanas and discover that they have a magical effect on the creatures of the forest. They use the Boo-Nanas to help them find the missing pieces of the magical music stone and continue on their quest.
Meanwhile, Lady Rataxes and Sleek also set out to find the missing pieces of the magical music stone. They encounter similar obstacles and scary creatures in the dark forest, but with their crafty minds, they manage to get ahead of Badou and his friends. When Badou and his friends finally catch up, they are challenged to a musical duel by Lady Rataxes. Badou and his friends play their instruments with all their hearts and manage to defeat Lady Rataxes in the musical duel. They collect the missing pieces of the magical music stone and return to the Musiquest competition.
In the final showdown of the Musiquest competition, Badou and his friends play the magical music stone and win the competition. They are declared the winners and receive the prize tickets to the Banana Day Festival. Lady Rataxes and Sleek, who have followed Badou and his friends, are disappointed at their loss but decide to steal the tickets from them. However, Badou and his friends catch them and show them the error of their ways. Lady Rataxes and Sleek apologize and Babar forgives them, reminding everyone that everyone is capable of making mistakes and that it is important to learn from them.
As the episode ends, Badou, Chiku, and Jake celebrate their victory and look forward to attending the Banana Day Festival.
