Badou discovers he has a special gift of remembering things in the episode "Memory Mayhem," which is the third episode of the first season of Babar and the Adventures of Badou. His ability to recollect memories helps him to find his missing kite, which he lost while he was flying it. However, his gift becomes a problem when he starts to remember embarrassing moments of his past that he would like to forget.

Meanwhile, in the second segment of the episode called "Soaped," Badou's friends, Rhudi and Chiku, accidentally use too much soap while cleaning a precious artifact that they intended to give to Badou's grandfather, Babar. As they try to fix the situation, they end up causing more chaos and mayhem.

In "Memory Mayhem," Badou's elephant friends were astonished when he was able to recall every single detail of a beloved blue butterfly he saw in the forest two years ago, and how much he loved it. So, when he lost his kite, he used his gift of keen observation and recollection of even the tiniest details to backtrace his kite's path and find it, flying on a tree branch. After he recovered his kite, Badou went back to the palace to show off his special memory skills, which led to one of his sharpest friends, Jake, spying on Badou and trying to use his extraordinary memory to win their next game.

During their game, Jake tried to lure Badou into forgetting the color of a butterfly from the ones he had previously mentioned. However, during this game, Badou started remembering things he would instead want to forget, such as how his grandfather, Babar, had found him crying in the forest and comforted him. Similarly, he was embarrassed and cringed when he remembered losing balance while attempting a tricky acrobatic move in front of everybody, eliciting laughter from his friends. Overcome with embarrassment, Badou leaves the game and goes on a walk to clear his head.

In the second segment, "Soaped," Rhudi and Chiku break an ancient vial, a family heirloom from Rhudi, while cleaning it. Fearing that they will get into trouble, they decide to fix the vase and put it back in place, leading to more accidents and hilarious cover-ups. Rhudi accidentally breaks the elephant statue that he uses to replace the vase, thinking it was of less importance, which ends up causing more confusion. Eventually, the statue, as well as the vase, tumble out of the palace window, crash, and break on the ground.

Badou, along with his friends, knew what happened and gathered the shattered pieces up to fix the broken items by implementing characteristics of different animal traits. They managed to reconstruct the family heirloom, making it much more unique and beautiful than before. In the end, Rhudi happily gifted the artifact to Badou's grandparents, while they all admired the beauty of what they had achieved.

In conclusion, the third episode of the first season of Babar and the Adventures of Badou revolves around Badou's gift, which brings solutions but also causes trouble due to his ability to remember things he would rather forget. At the same time, his friends are involved in soapy chaos that ultimately strengthens their bond with each other.
