Ep 9. Crash and Burn

In this heart-pumping episode of Ax Men season 3, titled "Crash and Burn," we see the teams facing dangerous situations and intense pressure as they work to harvest timber in some of the most treacherous forests in the Pacific Northwest.

The dreadnought loggers on team Rygaard are facing more than just the brutal winter weather conditions, as they also have to deal with a catastrophic breakdown of their logging equipment. With all hands on deck, they have to quickly repair the damaged equipment before they lose valuable time and money. Meanwhile, on team Conner, the youngest member of the team is put to the test as he takes on his first solo logging operation.

Out on the salt-choked flats of Louisiana, Shelby Stanga and his crew are again racing against the clock as they attempt to collect driftwood before it's engulfed by the rising tides. But Shelby's crew is small, and the work is dangerous - one wrong move could lead to a potentially deadly accident.

Meanwhile, in Montana, two rival crews are working on a high-stakes project deep in the rugged terrain of the Rocky Mountains. Darrell Holthusen's team is attempting to create a 300-foot long bridge across a treacherous valley, while Danny Pihl's team is trying to transport a massive 40-ton piece of equipment over some extreme switchback roads. As their machines are pushed to their limits, both teams must fight to keep up with their demands.

Finally, in the high altitudes of the Colorado Rockies, some of the most experienced veteran loggers face a new challenge as they must undertake the dangerous process of extracting massive timber logs from a steep mountainside. With high winds and unpredictable weather constantly threatening to derail their efforts, these seasoned professionals must use all of their skill and cunning to complete the job safely.

Throughout "Crash and Burn," we see the true grit and determination of America's elite logging crews as they work under extreme pressure and face one danger after another. Whether it's battling the harsh winter climate, repairing damaged equipment, racing against the clock, or braving the dangers of working at high altitude, the Ax Men of season 3 are truly the best of the best in the timber industry, and they'll stop at nothing to get the job done.
