Ep 7. After Hours

Jenna has been struggling with anxiety and stress, which leads her to randomly fail a test. She goes to Mr. Hart for help, who suggests that she should try studying with him after hours. Jenna agrees, and they spend the night studying. During their study session, they end up having a deep conversation about life, relationships, and the future. Both of them find themselves attracted to each other, and soon things start to get physical. However, they quickly realize that they are making a mistake, and Jenna decides to leave.

The next day, Jenna is feeling guilty and anxious. She tries to avoid Mr. Hart, but he ends up confronting her about what happened. They both agree that they made a mistake and decide to keep it a secret. Meanwhile, Sadie is throwing a party and invites Jake, who is still trying to move on from Jenna. However, things don't go as planned when Jenna shows up, causing Jake to become jealous. They end up talking about their feelings, and Jake admits that he still loves Jenna.

Back at school, Jenna is struggling to keep her secret with Mr. Hart under wraps. Tamara notices that Jenna is acting weird and confronts her about it. Jenna eventually tells Tamara what happened, and Tamara tries to convince her to come clean. However, Jenna decides to keep the secret as it is, not wanting to ruin Mr. Hart's career.

That night, Jenna and Tamara go to a college party where they run into Jenna's old crush, Matty. Matty and Jenna have a heart-to-heart conversation about their past relationship, and Matty realizes that he still cares about Jenna. Meanwhile, Tamara meets a cute guy named Kyle, and the two hit it off.

The next day, Jenna tries to avoid Mr. Hart yet again but ends up bumping into him in the hallway. He reassures her that they made the right decision the night before and that they need to move on. Later, Sadie confronts Jenna about her feelings for Jake, but Jenna denies having any romantic interest in him. However, it is clear that Jenna and Jake's spark is still there.

In the end, Jenna attends a poetry reading where she hears a poem that deeply resonates with her. She takes its message to heart and decides to come clean about her secret with Mr. Hart, not wanting to carry the burden anymore.
