The penultimate episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender's third season, “Sozin's Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang,” begins with the Fire Nation's invasion of the Earth Kingdom's capital city of Ba Sing Se. Meanwhile, Aang, Sokka, and Toph are preparing to enter the Fire Nation's capital city in order to face Fire Lord Ozai and put an end to the inferno he seeks to unleash on the world.
The three are joined by their friends and allies: Katara, Suki, Hakoda, Bato, and the newly arrived White Lotus warriors, all of whom have come to help the Avatar defeat the Fire Nation and save the world.
As they travel through the Fire Nation, Aang reflects on what he has learned in his journey to this point. He knows that he cannot simply use his power to defeat Ozai; he must find a way to do so without losing his sense of compassion and his commitment to non-violence.
Meanwhile, Ozai is preparing to launch his attack on the Earth Kingdom. He has deployed a giant, turtle-like battleship called the Fire Nation's flagship that will be the key to his plan. He has also ordered his army to capture any and all benders from across the world, knowing that their power could be key in his conquest of the other nations.
Despite the danger, Aang and his friends press on. They sneak into the Fire Nation's capital and make their way through the city, avoiding guards and uncovering secrets along the way.
As they continue to move through the city, the comet finally arrives. Ozai launches his attack, and Aang goes to face him alone. This is the moment of truth for the Avatar: can he defeat Ozai without betraying his principles?
The resulting battle is a stunning sequence of martial arts and bending, as Aang and Ozai clash in an epic duel that will determine the fate of the world. Can Aang find a way to win without resorting to violence? And what will happen if he fails?
As the episode comes to a close, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. The conflict between the Fire Nation and the other nations has come to a head, and the Avatar must use all of his strength and skill to defeat the most powerful firebender in the world. In the intense, climactic battle that plays out, nothing is certain and the stakes have never been higher.
With one last episode left to go, the series finally offers the conclusion to its epic tale of action, adventure, and self-discovery. Avatar: The Last Airbender has captured the imaginations of viewers of all ages, and Season 3's finale promises to deliver an unforgettable end to one of the greatest animated series of all time.
