Aang and his friends Katara and Sokka make their way to the Earth Kingdom city of Omashu in hopes of finding King Bumi, Aang's old friend and Earthbending teacher. However, when they arrive, they find that the city has been taken over by the Fire Nation. Aang, Katara, and Sokka soon find themselves in a dangerous situation as they try to navigate the city's new forces and locate King Bumi.
As they make their way through Omashu, Aang and his friends discover that the city's inhabitants have been enslaved by the Fire Nation. They witness firsthand the cruelty of the Fire Nation as they watch a group of prisoners being forced to work in a quarry. Aang, determined to save his friend King Bumi and free the people of Omashu, hatches a plan to rescue the prisoners and confront the Fire Nation.
Meanwhile, Zuko is also in Omashu, on a mission from his father to find the Avatar. He is accompanied by his uncle, Iroh, who seems to have a change of heart about their mission. With the help of a few allies, they embark on a daring rescue mission to save their friend.
