Iroh tells them about his past and the love he once had for the Fire Nation, before realizing the error of his ways. He agrees to help Katara and Sokka warn Aang about the impending invasion.
Katara and Sokka are able to navigate past Fire Nation soldiers to reach Aang, and they inform him of the situation. With Iroh's help, Aang is able to escape the temple and continue his journey to mastering the elements.
