The Gold Gypsies finally get their excavator back up and running, and they return to the promising site they had found earlier. They hit a small vein of gold, but it's nothing compared to what they had hoped for. They decide to take a break from the site and try a different area to hopefully have better luck.

The Scrappers team faces the consequences of their decision to mine in the flood-prone area, as a powerful storm rolls in. They quickly have to evacuate and move their valuable equipment to higher ground before the area floods and destroys everything.

As the episode comes to a close, all three teams are still struggling to find significant amounts of gold. However, they remain hopeful and determined to keep hunting and to find their fortune in the Australian outback.
