Betty finally meets her match in Brain Minus, the universe's smartest villain. Buoyed by her other successful takedowns of villains, Betty is eager to take on Brain Minus with glee. Frankie trains Betty to use the Lexicon Crystal, and Betty's continually positive attitude allows her to solve the solo operational problems before her. Even so, the tension between Betty and Sparky is rising. Sparky doesn't support Betty's attitude of optimism, and it's driving him away from the group.
When Betty successfully defeats Brain Minus, she's highly praised throughout the galaxy. However, a mysterious object comes down from space shortly after and strikes a wrestler's statue creating an Evil Idol, to which none of her gadgets has any effect. While investigating the Evil Idol, Betty and her team try to discover what is behind the statue's creation. They soon find out that the Evil Idol's creation was the result of the wrestler's greed and his willingness to do anything for fame.
Betty's team splits up to find the crystal they need while a confused Sparky ends up aiding the wrestler and his Evil Idol. A turn of events finds the wrestler trapped within the head of his statue, and unconscious Sparky possessing the power of the Evil Idol. Betty successfully navigates the Lexicon for the first time and arrives in time to save Sparky from the Idol's grasp by defeating the wrestler-turned-villain.
Throughout the episode, Betty comes to realize the futility of constantly trying to be positive when it comes to living up to the standards of others. She has newfound respect for Sparky realizing each person has their own way of handling their problems, and it's vital to respect those differences. Betty is shown to be a resilient leader throughout the episode, and the teams' trust and friendship are all the stronger for having gone through it.
