As the days go by, Ginger becomes increasingly isolated from the rest of the campers and realizes that she and Orion will never be able to work together. She decides to take matters into her own hands and give Orion a taste of his own medicine. She writes a scathing story about him, depicting him as a villainous character who takes advantage of others.

When Orion reads the story, he's furious with Ginger and accuses her of being jealous of him. He storms off, but Ginger soon discovers that he's gone missing. She and the other campers spend the night searching for him, but he's nowhere to be found.

The next morning, Orion returns to camp, disheveled and shaken. He reveals that he'd gone for a walk in the woods to clear his head and had gotten lost. Ginger realizes that she may have gone too far in her attempt to get back at him and feels guilty for causing him distress.

In the end, Ginger and Orion find common ground and decide to work together on their writing project. Ginger also comes to terms with the fact that she may never have a chance with Darren, but she's excited for what the future holds.
