Ep 1. Castles in the Sky / Tipping the Scales

In the first episode of season 9 of Arthur, titled "Castles in the Sky / Tipping the Scales," our beloved characters embark on two separate adventures.

The first half of the episode, "Castles in the Sky," follows Binky as he competes in the town's kite flying contest. Binky is determined to win and become the first person in his family to ever win a trophy. With the help of his friends, Binky spends countless hours perfecting his kite and strategy for the big day. However, he soon realizes that winning isn't everything when his little sister Mei Mei accidentally gets lost in the woods while trying to retrieve his kite. Binky must put his own desires aside and work with his friends to locate Mei Mei and bring her back home safely.

The second half of the episode, "Tipping the Scales," focuses on Francine and Muffy's class project on animal habitats. The girls have to create a diorama of their assigned animal's habitat and present it in front of the class. However, things take a turn when the dioramas are accidentally mixed up at the science museum exhibit opening. Francine is left with a diorama of a beaver's habitat while Muffy gets a diorama of a penguin's habitat. The girls must work together and think creatively to create a new exhibit that showcases the habitats of both animals.

Throughout the episode, we see our favorite characters learn valuable lessons about teamwork, putting others first, and adapting to unexpected situations. With heartwarming moments and plenty of humor, "Castles in the Sky / Tipping the Scales" is a delightful start to the ninth season of Arthur.
