Arthur's Treasure Hunt / The Return of the King is the 9th episode of the 3rd season of the popular animated television series, Arthur. In this episode, Arthur and his friends learn about treasure hunting and the importance of teamwork.

The episode begins with Arthur daydreaming about finding treasure, but his daydream is interrupted when his teacher, Mr. Ratburn gives the class an assignment to find hidden treasures around Elwood City. Arthur and his friends, The Brain, Buster, and Francine team up to search for the treasures.

They split into two teams, Arthur and Buster on one team and The Brain and Francine on the other. Both teams are assigned a hunt for a set of clues that will lead them to the treasure. The teams are off to a good start, but when they find themselves in a dark and scary alley, they start to get scared.

As they explore the alleyway, Arthur's team accidentally activates a booby trap, causing a wall to collapse on them. The Brain and Francine hear the commotion and rush to their aid, but when they arrive, they also become trapped by a different trap. To escape, they must work together and solve a series of intellectual puzzles. Meanwhile, Arthur's team finds themselves trapped in a dark room, and they too must work together to find their way out.

As they escape their respective rooms, they discover that the final clues to the treasure are located at a common location. With renewed energy, the two teams race against each other to be the first to find the treasure.

Upon finding the treasure, they realize that they have inadvertently trespassed on private property. The owner of the property, Mr. Crosswire, catches them and reprimands them for their trespassing. The friends had a lot of fun during their treasure hunt, but it was clear that teamwork and working together were key to their success in finding the treasure.

In the second half of the episode, The Return of the King, Arthur and his friends learn about the food chain. Arthur is surprised to learn that he is a part of it, and he becomes curious to learn more about the top of the food chain.

Arthur learns about an eagle, who is considered to be the king of the sky. Inspired, he decides to learn more about eagles and becomes completely immersed in his research. As Arthur delves deeper into learning about eagles, he becomes convinced that a sighting of an eagle near his home is a sign that the king of the sky has returned.

Arthur's friends, skeptical of his claims, become frustrated with Arthur's eagerness to prove his point. But when Arthur presents a convincing argument backed by scientific research, his friends begin to believe him.

They join him on a search to find the eagle, and as they explore the woods, they encounter several different animals. They demonstrate their different positions in the food chain while Arthur looks on, fascinated by everything he sees.

Eventually, Arthur and his friends find the eagle's nest. Arthur is excited to see the king of the sky up close, but he soon learns that eagles can be dangerous and that it is important to keep a safe distance.

In the end, Arthur and his friends learn that eagles play a crucial role in maintaining balance in the ecosystem, and they return home with a renewed appreciation for the diversity of life in nature.
