Arthur, an animated children’s show, is now airing its twentieth season. In this episode, titled “He Said, He Said / Bunny Trouble,” Arthur and his friends must navigate the tricky waters of gossip and deceit.
“He Said, He Said” opens with Principal Haney reprimanding Arthur and his best friend Buster for spreading rumors about their teacher, Mr. Ratburn. Despite insisting that they were only repeating what they heard from other students, Principal Haney remains unconvinced and forces Arthur and Buster to visit Mr. Ratburn and apologize.
But the situation takes a complicated turn when Arthur and Buster realize that the student who started the rumor, Emily, has a crush on Mr. Ratburn. Suddenly, they’re torn between telling the truth and potentially embarrassing Emily or keeping quiet and continuing to face consequences for something they didn’t do.
To make matters worse, a game of telephone among the students leads to even more confusion and exaggerated versions of the original rumor. As tension mounts, Arthur and Buster must decide whether to confront Emily about her crush or continue down a path of guilt by association.
Meanwhile, in “Bunny Trouble,” Arthur’s sister D.W. faces her own set of challenges when she’s paired with a new classmate, Scrabble, for a class project. D.W. is thrilled to work with someone new, but soon realizes that Scrabble is less interested in doing actual work and more interested in playing with D.W.’s stuffed bunny, Snowball.
As D.W. struggles to balance her desire to make a new friend with her desire to earn a good grade on the project, Snowball goes missing. D.W. blames Scrabble and confronts him, but soon learns that the real culprit is her dog, Pal. Embarrassed and upset, D.W. must figure out how to make things right with Scrabble and prove that her family’s pet isn’t a destructive force.
Throughout both storylines, Arthur and his friends learn important lessons about honesty, communication, and empathy. “He Said, He Said / Bunny Trouble” offers a fun and entertaining look at the challenges of navigating relationships and standing up for what’s right, even when it’s difficult.
