However, one of the club members does not follow the rules, causing conflict within the group. The Elwood City Adventure Society's rule is that members must go on an adventure every day. When Buster fails to show up for an adventure, Arthur and Prunella get upset with him. Similarly, the Horse Sense Club's rule is that members must take riding lessons and attend a horse show at the end of the month. When Muffy refuses to take riding lessons and attend the horse show, the other members get upset with her.

Meanwhile, D.W. realizes that her beloved tricycle has been stolen. She enlists the help of Arthur and his friends to find it. They search all over town, asking people if they have seen the tricycle. Along the way, they encounter a thief who steals Arthur's bike. To make things worse, the thief also steals the Horse Sense Club's horse costumes for their horse show.

In the end, the groups reconcile and realize the importance of following rules and sticking together. They recover D.W.'s tricycle and Arthur gets his bike back. The Horse Sense Club manages to borrow horse costumes from a local farm and successfully attend the horse show.
