Arthdal Chronicles season 1 episode 12 picks up from the last episode's cliffhanger, where Tagon is seen finding out about Tanya's plan to marry Saya to create a new ruling class. The episode explores the consequences of Tanya's decision and how it affects the lives of the important characters.
As Tagon confronts Tanya about her plan, the two engage in a heated argument which leads to an unexpected turn of events. Meanwhile, Saya continues to struggle with his identity and the pressure to live up to his father's expectations.
As Tagon tries to maintain his hold over the throne and maintain order, he faces a new threat in the form of an uprising by the Wahan tribe. The leader of the tribe, Asa Ron, seeks to overthrow Tagon and create a new world order.
Amidst all of this chaos, Eunseom and Tanya try to navigate their feelings for each other amidst the looming threat of war. As they plan to escape from Arthdal, they face multiple hurdles, including an attack by Tagon's soldiers.
The episode ends with multiple cliffhangers, leaving the viewers on the edge of their seats. As Tagon's rule comes under threat, the future of Arthdal hangs in the balance, and it remains to be seen who will come out on top.
