In the fifteenth episode of Arrested Development's first season, entitled "Staff Infection," Michael is dealing with some issues with his employees. He discovers that his accountant, Ira Gilligan (guest starring Matt Walsh), has been embezzling from the company. This sparks an investigation into the Bluth Company's finances, which reveals more problems and culminates in a visit from the SEC.
Meanwhile, Lindsay is trying to fulfill her philanthropic obligations by hosting a charity event, but she is having trouble finding a cause that will benefit her the most. She starts a foundation for deafening pets, which prompts Michael to question her motives.
GOB, still reeling from his failed magic career, tries to reinvent himself as a puppeteer and enlists the help of Buster. However, the two run into trouble when they accidentally steal a rare police case file from the evidence locker while trying to retrieve a puppet.
Throughout the episode, the usual antics of the dysfunctional Bluth family are on full display. There are misunderstandings, miscommunications, and plenty of colorful insults. Despite the chaos, Michael tries his best to maintain order and keep the family business afloat.
Overall, "Staff Infection" is a classic episode of Arrested Development that highlights the show's unique brand of comedy. From GOB's failed puppeteering attempts to Lindsay's misguided philanthropy, there is never a dull moment. Fans of the show will not want to miss this hilarious installment.
