The third season of Arctic Air continues with an exciting new episode titled “High Water”. The episode sees the arrival of a new character on the show, Dev, who has been hired to replace Astrid as the mechanic on the team. The storyline revolves around a weather phenomenon called Pineapple Express, which causes the temperature to rise and the snow to thaw rapidly. In turn, this leads to severe floods that threaten the livelihoods of the people living in the surrounding areas.

Mel and Krista are flying a group of tourists over some of the most affected regions, and they witness the extent of the damage caused by the floods. The two pilots are also trying to find a safe place to land, as the runway at Arctic Air is flooded, and they need to figure out an alternative landing spot. Meanwhile, Dev is busy repairing an airplane engine, which fails due to a mechanical problem that could have had disastrous consequences for the pilot flying the plane.

Bobby, who is the owner of Arctic Air, is faced with a dilemma when he receives two conflicting offers. One is from a local landowner who wants to sell his land to Bobby, and the other is from a major mining company that wants to purchase the same plot for a much higher price. Bobby needs to make a choice that will have significant implications for the future of the company and the people who depend on it.

Meanwhile, back in Yellowknife, Loreen is facing a personal crisis when she discovers that her niece is being bullied in school. She decides to take matters into her own hands by confronting the child’s parents and trying to make them understand the impact their child’s behavior is having on others.

The episode is full of action, drama, and tension. The script is well-written, and the actors deliver great performances, bringing the characters to life with emotional depth and authenticity. The cinematography is stunning, with breathtaking aerial shots of the flooded landscapes, which add to the overall quality of the show.

Overall, “High Water” is a great episode of Arctic Air that keeps the viewers engaged and invested in the characters’ lives. It explores complex themes such as the impact of climate change on the environment and people’s lives. It also highlights the importance of making tough choices and standing up for what is right, no matter the consequences.
