Ep 1. Pilot

Arctic Air is a Canadian television series about an airline and the people who work for it in the Canadian North. In the pilot episode, we see the crew of Arctic Air face a number of challenges as they prepare to launch their new airline. The first challenge is a financial one - Arctic Air is in debt, and Krista is struggling to secure the funding she needs to keep the airline afloat. To make matters worse, a rival airline is threatening to undercut Arctic Air's prices and steal their customers.

Despite these challenges, Krista is determined to make the airline a success, and she and her team work tirelessly to prepare for their first flight. Mel, in particular, is eager to prove himself to Krista and the rest of the crew. He is a talented pilot with a lot of potential, but he is haunted by his past mistakes and is prone to making impulsive and dangerous decisions.

The tension between Mel and the rest of the crew comes to a head when a group of tourists become stranded in the wilderness after their plane crashes. Mel insists on flying his own plane to rescue them, despite Krista's objections. His recklessness puts himself and the rest of the crew in danger, and it is only through their quick thinking and teamwork that they are able to save the stranded tourists and get back to Yellowknife safely.

In the end, the first flight of Arctic Air is a success, and the crew celebrate their achievement with a party at a local bar. However, it is clear that there are still many challenges ahead for the airline, and for the crew themselves. Mel's past continues to haunt him, and his relationship with Krista is strained by his impulsive behavior. The rivalry with the other airline is still a threat, and there are sure to be more challenges and adventures to come.

Overall, "Pilot" is a strong start to the series, introducing us to the main characters and setting up the central conflicts that will drive the show forward. The episode is filled with stunning scenery and exciting action sequences, and the cast is excellent, with each actor bringing a unique and compelling energy to their role.
