In the seventh episode of season 4 of Archer, titled "Live and Let Dine," the ISIS team is tasked with protecting a wealthy restaurant owner and his wife after he receives some threatening phone calls. At first, Malory is hesitant to take on this assignment, but after the restaurateur offers her a hefty sum of money, she changes her mind.
Before the team can start their protection detail, Archer and Lana are sent to retrieve a fake baby from a drug lord's compound as part of a sting operation. However, things quickly go awry when the baby turns out to be real, and they must find a way to keep the infant safe while completing their mission.
Once back at the ISIS headquarters, the team prepares to head out to the restaurant. Archer is given the task of posing as the chef, much to his delight since he is an excellent cook. However, when he meets the restaurant's head chef, Francois, he is confronted with some stiff competition. Meanwhile, Lana is tasked with being the hostess and must deal with the unwanted advances of the restaurant owner.
As the night progresses, tensions rise as more threatening calls come in, and the team must work together to keep the couple safe. However, things take a turn for the worse when one of the diners dies after eating poisoned food. The team realizes that the restaurant owner's wife is the likely culprit and must find a way to stop her before anyone else gets hurt.
In true Archer fashion, the episode is filled with plenty of hilarious moments, including Archer's attempts to outdo Francois in the kitchen, Cheryl's attempts at seducing the restaurant owner, and Pam's never-ending hunger. The action and comedy are not the only highlights, as the episode also features some touching moments between Archer and the baby they rescued from the drug lord.
Overall, "Live and Let Dine" is yet another fantastic episode of Archer that perfectly balances action, comedy, and heart. The stakes are high, the jokes are on point, and the characters continue to be as entertaining as ever.
