Ep 1. Heart of Archness: Part I

Archer season 3 episode 1, titled "Heart of Archness: Part I," begins with a montage of Archer drinking heavily and making a mess of his life after the death of his fiancée, Katya. He disappears and the agency is disbanded, leaving former ISIS employees to work odd jobs to make ends meet. Meanwhile, Cheryl, Pam, and Cyril are all trying to track Archer down without much success.

We soon find out that Archer has joined a group of pirates led by his former nemesis, Riptide. The group has taken control of a small island and is using it to launch attacks against shipping vessels. Archer has apparently been living with them for some time, and has become good friends with their biologist, who is enamored with Archer's dog, Duchess.

Back in the United States, Malory and Lana are both trying to find Archer, though their motivations are slightly different. Malory is worried about Archer's safety, while Lana wants him to sign over his share of the agency so she can gain control. Both women hire a group of mercenaries to track him down.

As the episode continues, we see Archer struggling with the pirate lifestyle. He refuses to participate in the group's attacks and is constantly drunk. Riptide tries to get him to join in with the others, but Archer is reluctant. Eventually, Riptide reveals that he needs Archer's help to find a hidden treasure that he believes is on the island. Archer agrees to help in exchange for Riptide letting his friends come to the island to help him investigate.

As the episode comes to a close, Lana and her mercenaries arrive on the island, setting up a showdown between Archer and his former colleagues. However, before any fighting can happen, the group is attacked by a group of ninjas who are seemingly working for someone else.

"Heart of Archness: Part I" sets up an exciting season for the show, with Archer's friends and former colleagues trying to track him down while he struggles with his new life as a pirate. The episode is packed with high-stakes action, tense confrontations, and the show's signature humor.
