Aquarion season 1 episode 7, titled "Knight of the Crimson Rose," follows the ongoing story of a group of young pilots who pilot a giant mecha known as Aquarion. In this episode, the pilots encounter a new enemy: a group of soldiers known as the Knights of the Crimson Rose.
The episode begins with the pilots receiving a distress signal from a nearby city. When they arrive, they find the Knights of the Crimson Rose have taken over the city and are holding the citizens hostage. The Aquarion pilots quickly spring into action, but they find that the Knights are more skilled and well-equipped than they anticipated.
As the battle rages on, one of the Aquarion pilots, Apollo, is singled out by the Knights' leader, a woman named Sophia. Sophia challenges Apollo to a duel, claiming she is the true knight of the Crimson Rose and that Apollo is a mere imposter. Apollo is hesitant to fight at first, but his determination to protect the innocent citizens of the city ultimately leads him to accept Sophia's challenge.
The two engage in a fierce battle, with Sophia wielding a devastating sword and Apollo using Aquarion's powerful abilities. It becomes clear that Sophia is not only a skilled fighter but also a strategist, as she maneuvers Apollo into difficult positions. However, Apollo is able to hold his own and even manages to land a few blows on Sophia.
As the battle intensifies, Sophia begins to reveal her true motivations. She believes that the world is plagued by chaos and that the only way to restore order is by imposing a strict hierarchy, with the Knights of the Crimson Rose at the top. Apollo, on the other hand, believes that the world can only be saved through compassion and understanding.
The conflict between the two opposing ideologies reaches its climax as Sophia unleashes her most powerful attack, a move known as the Crimson Rose. The attack proves too much for Apollo to handle, and it looks as though Sophia has won. However, a sudden turn of events changes everything.
