A team of antique furniture experts examines an impressive coin cabinet with over twenty drawers, which come in to be valued at £30,000. Additionally, we see a preview of a beautiful set of cameos that date back to the 18th century, and were once assembled on a blue velvet cushion. A gold engraved plate from the prestigious Goldsmith Company is also showcased. It was discovered in pieces and broken, however, after some extensive restoration works, it's now back to its former glory.

The importance of history and its preservation is evident in this episode as the team also presents an intriguing selection of books that date back to the 16th century and contain a varied selection of stories. The books offer an insight into the life and interests of their previous owners. We see Frances Christie examines a book on ancient Greek literature whilst Paul Atterbury looks at a leather-bound military book.

Amongst the antiques is also a fascinating collection of vintage firefighting equipment. John Foster inspects a copper helmet that dates back to the 18th century and finds out more about the history behind it. The collection also includes two sturdy boxes with army green finishes that were once used to transport gases in case of a fire. They also double up as the perfect stand-ins for football tournaments held at the local fire station.

Overall Antiques Roadshow UK season 26 episode 15 delivers an impressive selection of antiques, from the exquisite and expensive to the unique and slightly odd, each with their distinct history, all captivating and unique.
