In this episode of Antiques Road Trip season 6, two experts, Tim Medhurst and Philip Serrell, continue their journey through the UK in search of rare and valuable antiques to buy and sell at auction. Their starting point is Newark Antiques Fair in Nottinghamshire, one of the largest antiques fairs in Europe.

Tim and Philip are tasked with finding treasures that will impress the auction house and make them a handsome profit. They split up and scour the fair for hidden gems, each hoping to outdo the other. Tim has his eye on a pair of Victorian Staffordshire dogs, while Philip is drawn to an eccentric blue glass vase. They both find some interesting items, including pottery, silverware, and antique toys.

After the fair, Tim and Philip head to the historic city of Lincoln. In the Cathedral Quarter, they visit a shop that specializes in antique furniture and paintings. Tim is tempted by a Georgian settee and chair, while Philip is intrigued by an oil painting of a dog. The shop owner reveals that the painting was done by a famous artist, which makes Philip even more eager to buy it.

Next, the experts visit a vintage shop in Louth, a charming market town. The shop is full of antique curiosities, from musical instruments to taxidermy. Tim finds a 1920s gramophone, and Philip is fascinated by a set of antique apothecary jars. They both make some interesting purchases, but the real challenge is yet to come.

The experts head to the auction house in Bourne, Lincolnshire, where they will face each other in a head-to-head auction. They have a budget of £200 each and must try to make a profit by selling their antiques to the highest bidder. The auctioneer is tough, and there is some fierce competition between the bidders.

Tim's Staffordshire dogs prove to be a hit, and he gets a good price for them. Philip's blue vase, however, fails to attract much interest, and he is disappointed with the outcome. The painting of the dog, on the other hand, causes a bidding war, and Philip is thrilled with the final price.

Overall, it's a nail-biting auction, with some surprising twists and turns. Tim and Philip are both hoping to come out on top, but only one can be the winner. Who will make the most profit, and who will have to face the disappointment of losing? Find out in this exciting episode of Antiques Road Trip.
