In Antiques Road Trip season 6 episode 13, the viewers follow expert David Harper and Anita Manning on their journey through the West Midlands. The duo takes us through magnificent antiques shops and markets of Redditch, Kidderminster, and Wolverhampton in search of hidden gems.

The episode starts with both experts heading towards Redditch, David's hometown. In Redditch, they visit an emporium where David immediately spots a very unusual pair of vases. However, his excitement is short-lived as the price tag does not fit their budget.

The next stop is Kidderminster, where the pair visits a charity shop. Here, they come across countless items but fail to find anything worth buying. Anita and David then move on to Wolverhampton, where they visit a vintage emporium. The shop's owner shows them an exquisite Art Nouveau enamel glass vase, but Anita and David are left disappointed as the price is way beyond their budget.

Despite the setbacks, the duo does not lose hope. They visit a couple of antique shops and come across some exquisite pieces. David scores a rare Cooper Art Ware tile for a bargain price. Meanwhile, Anita finds an attractive pair of Art Deco style ashtrays.

As they continue their journey, they come across an enormous antique emporium. The store sells all sorts of antiques, from paintings, furniture, to pottery. Here, they discover some beautiful pieces, including an epic bird cage and a carved wooden ship figurehead. However, not everything they find is antique, as the store owner has included some newer pieces in his collection as well.

Next, they move on to a jam-packed antiques market, where they spend hours searching for treasures. Anita finds a lovely set of French brass scales, while David comes across a rare Art Deco tray made from macassar ebony wood. However, their greatest find is yet to come.

In Wolverhampton, the pair visits an antique furniture restorer's workshop. The workshop is filled with all manner of furniture in various states of repair. Here, they come across a broken but beautiful walnut corner cabinet. The furniture restorer senses their interest and proceeds to show them some remarkable secret compartments, including some hidden drawers which David claims are the hallmark of skilled craftsmanship.

Excited by their find, they take the broken cabinet to an experienced furniture restoration expert in Birmingham, who shares some useful advice. The shrewd expert advises them not to restore the cabinet as is but instead to re-finish it in a faux distressed style before selling it.

As the show draws to a close, the pair reflects on their experiences and the items they've found. They recount stories about their encounters with the owners, sellers, and collectors they've met on their journey.

In conclusion, Antiques Road Trip season 6 episode 13 is a delightful and informative journey through the West Midlands. Anita and David take the viewers on an adventure through the region's antique shops, emporiums, markets, and workshops. They share their excitement over the beautiful and unique items they find, and offer insights into the world of antiques. The episode is a must-watch for anyone interested in antiques or curious about the stories behind them.
