The beloved British television program Antiques Road Trip is back for its fifth season, and episode 8 is sure to delight fans of the show. Antiques experts David Harper and Charles Hanson take to the road once again, traveling through the picturesque countryside of the United Kingdom in search of rare and valuable items to sell at auction.

In this episode, Harper and Hanson begin their journey in the historic town of Sherborne in Dorset. Their first stop is the Sherborne Castle, where they meet with the current owner, the Lord of Sherborne. The castle has been in the Digby family for over 400 years, and it is filled with priceless antiques and works of art. The experts are given a tour of the castle, and they are particularly impressed by the 18th-century painting by Joshua Reynolds that hangs in the grand entrance hall. However, it is not for sale, and the experts must continue their search elsewhere.

Their next destination is the nearby village of Sturminster Newton, where they visit an antique shop called "The Foxhole." The owner, Tim, is known for his unique interpretation of antique design and his vast collection of vintage homeware items. The experts scan the shelves and quickly spot some items of interest, including a rare turquoise vase and a collection of vintage buttons. But it's not just antiques that catch their eye – Hanson is also drawn to a box of old toys, including a miniature train set that he can't resist playing with.

Leaving Sturminster Newton, Harper and Hanson head for Bristol, where they visit a large antique market. The market is one of the biggest in the country, and it is housed in a massive warehouse that is packed with all manner of antiques and collectibles. The experts split up to cover more ground, and they spend several hours scouring the stalls for hidden treasures. Harper comes across a beautiful Victorian silver vase, while Hanson discovers a unique collection of antique keys. However, they both decide to hold off on making any purchases until they have seen more of what the market has to offer.

After a night spent in a quaint bed and breakfast in a charming village, the experts head for their final destination of the episode: the city of Bath. They stop at the famous Bath Antiques Market, which is held every month in the city center. The market is packed to the rafters with antiques of all types, from furniture to jewelry to artwork. Harper and Hanson once again split up to cover more ground, and they spend hours sifting through the myriad treasures on offer.

Surprisingly, Hanson comes across a rare and valuable piece of Cartier jewelry that he knows will fetch a high price at auction. Harper, meanwhile, is drawn to an old, leather-bound diary that once belonged to a Victorian gentleman. The diary is filled with fascinating details about life in the 19th century, and Harper is intrigued by the opportunity to own a piece of history.

With the episode coming to a close, Harper and Hanson head back to the auction house to sell their finds. As always, the experts must balance their hopes of making a profit with the risk of being outbid by their competitors. The pressure is on as the auction begins, and the experts watch nervously as each item is sold. Will they make a profit on their purchases? Will they beat their rivals in the bidding wars?

Tune in to Antiques Road Trip season 5 episode 8 to find out, and join Harper and Hanson on their journey through the beautiful countryside and historic towns of the UK.
