Antiques Road Trip is a British television show where two antique experts go on a road trip across the country, buying and selling antiques with a budget of 200 pounds each. In season 5 episode 29, the two experts are Charles Hanson and Raj Bisram.
The episode begins with Charles Hanson driving a blue antique car to pick up Raj Bisram at his antiques shop. They both introduce themselves and explain the rules of the game. They will travel across the country, visiting different towns and antique shops, and see who can make the most profit by buying and selling antiques.
Their first stop is an antique shop in Ashford, where they meet the owner, who shows them some antique jewellery. They both bid on a gold necklace with a pearl pendant and a silver brooch with a topaz stone. Charles buys the necklace for 120 pounds, and Raj buys the brooch for 80 pounds.
In the second antique shop they visit, in Canterbury, they both find some interesting items. Raj buys a pair of brass candlesticks for 75 pounds, and Charles buys a wooden box with inlaid marquetry for 60 pounds.
The next town they visit is Rye, where they discover a flea market. Raj spots a Carlton Ware pottery jug for 35 pounds and Charles finds a pair of Japanese vases for 70 pounds. They also visit a shop where they find a large gold pocket watch. Charles buys it for 100 pounds.
Their next stop is Lewes, where they find a beautiful antique mirror. Raj negotiates the price down to 60 pounds, and Charles buys it. They also visit a shop where they find a bronze sculpture of a horse, and Raj buys it for 200 pounds.
In the final town they visit, Arundel, they visit an antique fair. Raj finds a silver bowl for 215 pounds, and Charles buys a set of Wedgwood plates for 80 pounds.
At the end of the episode, they both add up their profits and find out who has won. They meet up with their auctioneer who will sell the items at auction. Charles makes a profit of 350 pounds, and Raj makes a profit of 300 pounds. Charles wins the episode.
Overall, season 5 episode 29 of Antiques Road Trip was a fun and exciting episode to watch. The two experts had a great time searching for unique and valuable items, and it was interesting to see how they negotiated the prices with the antique shop owners. The auction at the end of the episode was also exciting to watch, as we found out who made the most profit. Fans of the show and anyone interested in antiques will definitely enjoy this episode.
