In the second episode of the fifth season of Antiques Road Trip, two expert antique dealers, James Braxton and Charles Hanson, set off on yet another epic adventure through the country, in search of antique treasures to sell at auction. The pair embark on a five-day journey through the scenic West Country, exploring the stunning landscapes and uncovering hidden gems along the way.

Their first stop is an antique shop in the charming market town of Shepton Mallet, where James is immediately drawn to a dazzling Art Deco vase, while Charles gets excited over a vintage traveling trunk. After some friendly banter and negotiation, the items are purchased, and the duo are back on the road, heading towards their next destination.

Driving through the beautiful rolling hills of Somerset, James and Charles make a stop at an old country house, where the owners are selling some of their antique furniture. Here, they come across some incredible pieces, including a rare Georgian table designed by Thomas Chippendale and a stunning Edwardian bronze sculpture.

As they continue their journey, the dynamic duo also visit some eccentric antique dealers, one of whom has a taste for quirky and unusual pieces, such as a stuffed crocodile and an antique prosthetic leg. Another dealer they visit has an exquisite collection of antique silverware and porcelain, and James and Charles can’t resist making some purchases at both these unique establishments.

Along the way, the two experts share their wealth of knowledge and experience with each other, discussing the various pieces they come across and their historical significance. They also have fun trying out some of the antique items themselves, with James donning a vintage top hat and Charles trying out an old-fashioned shaving kit.

As the trip comes to a close, James and Charles must decide which items to take to auction, in the hopes of making the biggest profit possible. They face some tough decisions, as they have discovered some truly remarkable antiques along the way, but ultimately they must determine which pieces are most likely to capture the attention of bidders at auction.

With tension mounting, the auction finally arrives, and James and Charles anxiously watch as their selected items go under the hammer.
