However, before the auction begins, they are given a tour of the auction house where they discover a range of unusual items up for sale, including a collection of antique walking sticks.
At the auction, Mark and Kate try their luck at bidding on a range of items, including a Georgian tea caddy and a silver pocket watch. However, there is tough competition, and the bidding quickly becomes heated. Will they be successful in securing any of the items on offer and will they make a profit?
The next stop on their road trip is at an antique center in Wiltshire, where they meet an intriguing character, Richard. Richard is a collector of all things unusual and has an extensive range of antiques in his shop. Mark and Kate are amazed at some of the items they discover, including an antique torture chair and a rare tapestry.
As they continue their journey, the dealers visit a range of other antique shops and auction houses, including a visit to a famous antiques fair in the city of Bath. Here, they find a range of unique items, including an antique French mantel clock and a rare Chinese vase.
Throughout the journey, Mark and Kate compete to see who can make the most profit from their purchases. They also share their knowledge and expertise about antiques, providing fascinating insights into the history and provenance of each item they discover.
