Charles Hanson and Raj Bisram continue their antiques road trip on day two of their journey. They begin at The Auction House in Lutterworth, where Charles is especially keen to make a profit. A pair of silver vases catch his eye, but will they be worth their high price tag at auction? Meanwhile, Raj finds himself with an item that's more his style - an Art Deco cigarette box that he hopes will be the perfect addition to his personal collection.
Next, the pair head to the charming city of Leicester, where they visit a private collection at a beautiful old house. Raj spots a stunning marble bust that he's desperate to get his hands on, but it looks like there may be some tough competition from Charles. They also discover a rare book that could be worth a considerable amount, and a rather intriguing painting that immediately captures their attention.
After a quick stop for lunch, the two dealers make their way to Hartley Antiques, where they come across an array of curious objects. Raj finds himself drawn to a gorgeous pair of bronze dogs that once stood guard outside a grand house, while Charles is more interested in a set of Georgian chairs. However, as they've been suitably restored, will they be too expensive to make a profit?
The day isn't over yet, as they then head to Jack Harness Antiques in Kegworth, where they find two very different items. Raj spots a beautiful piece of Moorcroft pottery that he thinks could be a real gem, while Charles is taken by an old pub sign. But will they be able to strike a bargain with the dealer and make a profit at auction?
As they make their way to their final destination, Charles and Raj take the opportunity to reflect on their purchases for the day, pondering whether they've made the right decisions. Then it's off to Hodgson's auction house in Grantham, where they eagerly await the outcome of their purchases. The atmosphere is tense as the auctioneer takes to the podium, and both dealers are nervous as their items come up for bid.
Will they make a profit on their investments, or will they have to face the disappointment of losing money? Tune in to find out on this exciting episode of Antiques Road Trip.
