James Braxton and Natasha Raskin Sharp begin their exciting journey in season 24 of Antiques Road Trip. In day 1 of their adventure, the two expert antique dealers travel from their starting point at Cheshire to an auction in Derbyshire, eager to find valuable antiques and hidden gems.
As they set off early in the morning, James and Natasha discuss their strategy for the day, with Natasha revealing that she plans to focus on purchasing small, unique items while James sets his sights on larger pieces such as furniture and paintings.
Their first stop is at a quaint antiques shop where James finds a stunning Regency-style mahogany secretaire. Natasha, on the other hand, comes across an unusual brass compass which she believes will be a hit with collectors.
Their next stop takes them to a sprawling country house where they meet with the owner who offers them a glimpse of his impressive antique collection. James is particularly impressed with a Georgian mirror which he believes could potentially fetch a high price at auction. Meanwhile, Natasha strikes a deal for a pair of vintage silk gloves which she plans to resell to a collector.
After a long day of antique browsing and bargain hunting, James and Natasha make their way to Derbyshire for the auction. As they prepare for the auction, tensions rise as they compete against each other to buy coveted items.
The auction begins and the tension in the room is palpable as bidders battle it out for sought-after pieces. James manages to secure the Regency-style secretaire for a decent price while Natasha is thrilled when she wins the bidding war for the brass compass. However, not all of their purchases turn out to be winners, with James regretting his decision to bid for a teapot which fails to make a profit.
Despite the ups and downs of the day, James and Natasha are excited for the rest of their road trip and the potential treasures they may uncover. With their keen eye for antiques and competitive spirit, viewers are sure to be in for an exciting ride throughout season 24 of Antiques Road Trip.
