In season 21 episode 4 of Antiques Road Trip titled "Episode 04," two experts take a road trip across the UK to find and buy antiques to sell at auction. In this episode, antique experts James Braxton and Natasha Raskin Sharp set off from Cheshire in search of hidden treasures in Lancashire.
Their first stop is at an auction house in Preston where James buys a watercolour painting which he thinks will sell well at the auction. They then head to Lytham St Annes where Natasha buys a brass and steel telescope from the 19th century. They meet the current owner of the telescope, Graham, who tells them a fascinating story about how it was used in World War II.
Next, the duo visits an antiques centre in Lytham where they find a variety of items including a pair of Staffordshire dogs and a silver cigarette case. They also meet a collector named Kevin who shows them some of his prized possessions including a French cuckoo clock and a rare Victorian phonograph.
James and Natasha continue on to Morecambe where they visit a shop called Old Times to find more antiques. Natasha buys a papier-mâché sewing box and James finds a set of antique fishing reels. They also stop by a candy store where they sample some traditional sweets.
Their final stop of the day is at an auction house in Clitheroe where they hope to make a profit on their buys. The auctioneer gives them an estimated value for each item and the experts anxiously wait to see if they will make a profit.
Throughout the episode, James and Natasha discuss the history and value of each item they come across. They also share their personal experiences and tips for finding and selling antiques.
