In Antiques Road Trip season 2 episode 30, the journey continues as expert antiques dealers hit the road once again in search of hidden treasures and valuable antiques. With a budget of several hundred pounds each, they visit various locations across the UK, including auctions, antiques fairs, and private collectors.
In this particular episode, the two dealers embarking on the road trip are Sarah Greene and Paul Laidlaw. Sarah is a well-known auctioneer with a passion for vintage jewelry and watches. Paul, on the other hand, is a seasoned antiques dealer with a wealth of knowledge about furniture and decorative arts.
The episode kicks off with the pair heading to an auction in Lancashire, where they battle it out to secure an antique tea caddy. Sarah is particularly interested in this piece as it's made from a precious metal and could be worth a significant amount. However, Paul is not one to back down easily, and he also places a bid, hoping to add the tea caddy to his collection.
Their next stop is a local antiques fair, where Sarah and Paul spend the day browsing through various stalls, looking for hidden treasures. At one point, Sarah comes across a stunning diamond necklace that catches her eye. The dealer selling it assures her that it's an original piece from the 1920s and is worth a small fortune. Sarah is keen to buy it, but with a hefty price tag, she's not sure if it's worth the investment.
After a quick lunch break, the duo head to a private collector's home, hoping to strike a deal. The collector is a retired antique dealer who has amassed an impressive collection of rare and valuable antiques over the years. Sarah and Paul spend several hours examining his collection, which includes everything from vintage pocket watches to rare ceramics.
One item that stands out to Paul is an antique mahogany bureau. The piece appears to be in excellent condition and has a beautiful patina that could command a high price at auction. However, the collector is not willing to part with it easily and asks for an exorbitant price.
Sarah, on the other hand, comes across a pair of antique cufflinks that she believes could have belonged to a famous actor from the golden age of Hollywood. The collector is not sure about their provenance, but Sarah is convinced that they could be worth a lot of money with further research.
The final part of the episode sees the dealers heading to an auction in Edinburgh, where they hope to sell some of their finds and make a profit. Sarah and Paul are on a mission to outdo each other and walk away with the highest profit margin.
Will Sarah's diamond necklace prove to be a wise investment, or will Paul's antique bureau steal the show? And who will come out on top at the auction? Tune in to Antiques Road Trip season 2 episode 30 to find out!
