In this episode of Antiques Road Trip, our two intrepid antique experts, Margie Cooper and Paul Laidlaw, continue their journey across the UK in search of valuable and unique antiques. The pair start off in Hertfordshire, where they visit a dealer selling an array of antiques. Margie finds a two-section glass cabinet that catches her eye, while Paul is attracted to a charming Victorian travelling trunk. In the end, Margie has to convince Paul that her choice is the better investment.

Next, the two antique enthusiasts travel to Buckinghamshire, where they visit a beautiful stately home with a history that dates back to the medieval times. They explore some of the stunning antiques that this grand home has on display, including a set of four impressive French paintings with an estimate that sends shockwaves through the pair.

The stakes are high in this episode as Margie and Paul compete with each other on their purchases, and there is a lot of bargaining and negotiating throughout the episode. Margie, who seems to have a connection with the dealers they meet, is ahead of Paul in spending, as she is more confident in her choices.

In the picturesque town of Aylesbury, the competition between the two becomes more intense, as they visit a market that sells a mixture of antiques including vintage clothes, glassware, and ornaments. Margie picks up a beautiful basket made out of silver wire, while Paul opts for an antique grape-crushing tool.

In Reading, Margie and Paul find themselves feeling drawn to a dealership that specializes in furniture. They are in awe of a stunning, large Venetian style mirror that is on display, but Margie is hesitant to negotiate a price with the charming dealer. Paul, on the other hand, is fearless and decides to make an offer on an intricately carved wooden cabinet that he spotted earlier.

Finally, the competing duo arrives at their auction house in Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, where they must part ways and sell their respective lots. The auction starts off with a bang, as Margie's antique basket is auctioned off for more than double its estimate. However, the competition is fierce, and Paul's grape-crushing tool fetches a good price, bringing him back into the game.

Margie is also pleased with the final price of her glass cabinet, which is sold for an impressive amount. However, the auction isn't over yet, and the highlight of the sale is the French paintings that they saw earlier, which attract some intense bidding. Will they reach the reserve price, or will they fall short?

Antiques Road Trip is a show that provides a fascinating insight into the world of antiques and the unique stories that they tell. This episode is full of surprises, from the incredible antiques discovered to the fierce competition between the hosts. Antiques Road Trip is a must-watch for anyone who loves antiques, history, and a good competition.
