In Antiques Road Trip season 14 episode 2, the show follows two antique experts, Natasha Raskin Sharp and Raj Bisram, as they embark on a road trip through Yorkshire in search of hidden treasures. The second episode of the season starts with the two experts meeting up in Stokesley, North Yorkshire where they begin their journey.
The first stop is at a charming little antiques shop called Albert's Attic. Here, they meet the friendly owner, Albert, who shows them around his collection of unique and rare items. From vintage sewing machines to antique typewriters and old photographs, there's no shortage of fascinating pieces here. But it's a beautiful art deco lamp that catches Natasha's eye and she decides to make an offer on it.
Next, the pair head to a local auction house in Harrogate to try their luck at buying some items. They are up against some tough competition as many local dealers are present at the auction. The bidding is competitive but Raj manages to snag a set of antique silver spoons for a bargain price. Natasha is not so lucky, missing out on a beautiful collection of vintage perfume bottles that she had her eye on.
In the next stop of their journey, the pair visits the stunning ruins of Bolton Abbey. The abbey dates back to the 12th century and is a popular tourist attraction. Here, they meet up with a local historian who tells them about the rich history of the area. It's a beautiful day and they decide to enjoy a picnic lunch near the abbey while discussing their progress so far.
The experts then visit a local artist, Stuart, who has a passion for repurposing discarded items into beautiful, functional art pieces. His studio is filled with quirky and unique pieces such as tables made from old bicycles and lamps fashioned out of teapots. Natasha and Raj are both impressed with Stuart's creativity and eye for detail.
Their next stop is at an antique fair in the town of Pateley Bridge. The fair is bustling with activity and there are plenty of stalls selling all sorts of treasures including vintage books, antique jewellery and rare collectibles. Natasha and Raj are like kids in a candy store as they wander through the fair, trying to pick out the best pieces. They are both successful in securing some great finds, but it's a stunning Art Nouveau vase that Natasha comes away with that steals the show.
Finally, the pair visits a grand, stately home, Harewood House which is situated in the heart of Yorkshire. The house has been the home of the Earl and Countess of Harewood for centuries and is filled with priceless art, furniture and antiques. Natasha and Raj are given a tour of the house and are amazed at the sheer opulence of the place.
The episode ends with the pair heading back to the auction house in Harrogate to sell their items. Both Raj and Natasha have high hopes for their items and are hoping to make a tidy profit. Which expert will come out on top in this episode of Antiques Road Trip? Tune in to find out.
