In Antiques Road Trip season 12 episode 14, the two experts, Philip Serrell and Louise Gostelow, set out on a journey to uncover hidden gems and treasures from various antique stores and markets in the Sussex area of England.
Starting off at the historic town of Rye, the duo scours the stores for items to auction later on. Philip begins the day with a hunting horn from the 19th century, while Louise finds a desk and an antique dressing table.
Moving on to the town of Hastings, the experts visit an antique market where they find an unusual liftable table called a 'Metamorphic table,' which they predict would be a hit at auction. In the same market, Philip finds a rare clock that dates back to the 17th century, and Louise spots a pair of Chinese vases that she believes would fetch a good price.
The duo then travels to Eastbourne, where Philip takes a detour on a vintage motorcycle, and Louise comes across an interesting piece of artwork which she describes as "brilliantly quirky." The experts end their day with a visit to an auction house in Brighton, where they present their finds of the day to an auctioneer in the hopes of making a profit.
Throughout the episode, Philip and Louise interject humor and banter with each other as they sift through the countless shelves and tables of antiques. They also inform the viewers about the history and significance of the items they come across, providing a fascinating insight into the world of antiques.
