In this episode of Antiques Road Trip, two antique experts set off on a road trip to search for hidden treasures and valuable antiques. The two experts competing against each other are antiques experts David Harper and Thomas Plant.

Their journey begins in Penrith in the heart of Cumbria, England. Their first stop is at 18th-century St Andrew's Church, where they meet the church warden who gives them a tour of the beautiful church that is over 800 years old, famous for its stained glass windows.

Moving on from the church, David and Thomas are on the lookout for valuable items. They visit a local antique store where they discover a collection of Victorian silver that is still in its original box. They are both impressed with the quality of the silver and the fact that it hasn't been polished for a long time.

The duo then head to Appleby Castle where they meet Lord and Lady Inglewood. They are given a tour of the castle and learn about its fascinating history dating back to the 12th century. They see its stunning interior, including the Great Hall, drawing-room, and Chapel.

After the visit to the castle, David and Thomas head to the town of Kirkby Stephen. Here they meet a dealer who has a collection of antique clocks. The dealer explains to them the interesting history of each clock and how to identify the quality of the antique items.

Next up, the duo takes a trip to an auction house in Penrith where they visit a small pub with its antique items. They see a collection of old bottles from the 1800s and learn about their value as well as the history behind them.

Moving on from the pub, David and Thomas decide to visit a museum in Kendal where they learn about the local history of the town, including famous poets, artists, and writers who lived there. The museum also has a collection of old photographs, paintings, and sculptures, which the duo finds fascinating.

The last stop on their trip is in Windermere, where they visit the home of the famous poet William Wordsworth. They explore his house and gardens and learn about his life and work as one of the greatest poets of all time.

At the end of their trip, David and Thomas return to the auction house in Penrith, where they have to auction off their items and see who has made the most profit from their purchases. They eagerly wait to see if their efforts and knowledge have paid off, or if they have been outsmarted by the other expert.

Overall, this episode of Antiques Road Trip is an exciting journey through the beautiful landscapes of Cumbria, where the two experts David and Thomas have a chance to discover some valuable antiques and learn about the fascinating history of the area.
