Ep 3. Experiments in Babysitting

In the third episode of season 2 of Annedroids, titled "Experiments in Babysitting," Anne and Nick work together to build a robotic sitter in order to help Shania and her mom get some quality bonding time. Shania is struggling with feeling neglected as her mom works long hours, and Anne and Nick believe they can help by creating a sentient robot that can take care of Shania and even grow and learn with her.

As they work on building the robot, Anne and Nick must navigate the challenges of creating a capable and safe caregiver, while also dealing with personal issues. Nick must confront his feelings about his dad and his own family relationships, while Anne struggles with the ethics of creating artificial intelligence.

Once the robotic sitter, named SARA (Situationally Aware Robotic Assistant), is complete, Anne and Nick entrust her to take care of Shania for the evening. But when a power outage knocks out SARA's programming, the kids must figure out how to keep themselves safe and occupied while waiting for Anne and Nick to come fix her.

Throughout the episode, the characters grapple with questions about technology and what it means to care for someone, as well as the importance of human connection and empathy. As always, Annedroids explores these themes through exciting scientific adventures and engaging characters, making it a fun and thought-provoking series for viewers of all ages.
