Animal Precinct is a docuseries following the officers of the New York City Animal Care and Control as they rescue and rehabilitate animals in need. The show is a gripping and emotional look at the challenges and triumphs of animal rescue work. In season 3 episode 12, Lost and Found, the Animal Precinct officers are called to rescue several animals in peril.

The episode begins with a frantic call to Animal Care and Control about a puppy stuck in a sewer drain. The team quickly responds to the scene, and officer Kim Kelly bravely crawls into the drain to rescue the puppy. The adorable Labrador puppy is safely pulled from the drain, and the team discovers that she has no identification or microchip. They name her Lucky and begin the search for her owners.

Meanwhile, officer Annemarie Lucas is called to a house that has been abandoned by its owners. The house is in a state of disrepair, with garbage and debris littering the floors. Annemarie is shocked to find four cats and a dog abandoned in the house. They are malnourished and covered in fleas, and one of the cats is so sick that she has to be rushed to the vet. Annemarie is determined to save the animals and give them the love and care they deserve.

Back at the shelter, the search for Lucky's owners continues. The team posts flyers and puts out a call on social media, hoping to find someone who recognizes the puppy. Meanwhile, they discover that Lucky has a serious heart condition that will require surgery. Lucky's fate is uncertain, but the team is determined to do everything they can to save her.

As the days go by, the officers continue to care for the animals, providing food, shelter, and medical attention. Annemarie discovers that one of the cats is pregnant, and she prepares for the arrival of the kittens. Lucky undergoes surgery to repair her heart, and the team anxiously awaits the outcome.

Finally, there is a breakthrough in the search for Lucky's owners. A family comes forward, claiming that Lucky is their dog, Princess. The team is overjoyed to reunite Lucky with her owners, but they are also concerned. Princess is in poor health and has clearly been neglected. The officers work with the family to educate them about responsible pet ownership and provide them with resources to care for Princess.

In the end, the animals rescued in Lost and Found all find their happy endings. Lucky recovers from her surgery and is reunited with her family, while the cats and dog abandoned in the house find loving homes. The episode is a powerful reminder of the importance of animal rescue work and the dedication of the Animal Care and Control officers who do it.
