In episode 4 of Angry Boys, we continue to follow the lives of the various characters introduced in the previous episodes. The episode begins with Blake being questioned by S.Mouse about his sexuality and whether he is gay or not. Blake denies being gay, but S.Mouse doesn't believe him and tries to convince him to come out of the closet.
Meanwhile, Daniel is still struggling with being a deaf boy in a hearing world. He is frustrated with his lack of communication skills and feels like he is missing out on a lot of things because he cannot hear. He eventually comes up with an idea to make a video to help people understand what it's like to be deaf. He enlists the help of his brother Nathan, who is skeptical of the idea but agrees to help anyway.
We also see a bit more of Gran, the prison guard who has developed a bit of a crush on Daniel's dad. Gran is still struggling with her own personal demons and we see her dealing with the aftermath of a drinking binge the night before. She eventually shows up to work hungover and causes some chaos.
Towards the end of the episode, we see a bit more of the Japanese mother and son duo, who are trying to figure out a way to get their dance group noticed. They have a meeting with a record label executive, but things don't go quite as planned.
Overall, episode 4 continues to explore the various themes of the series, including sexuality, communication, and cultural differences. The characters we have become familiar with over the course of the first three episodes are further developed and we start to see more of their backstories and personal struggles. The episode ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, which will leave viewers eager to see what happens next.
