Angel season 4 episode 6, "Spin the Bottle," begins with Lorne casting a spell to help Cordelia recover her lost memories. However, the spell goes wrong and causes everyone in the hotel to revert back to their teenage selves. As a result, Angel, Wesley, Gunn, Fred, and Lorne all have to navigate their newfound adolescence while still dealing with the threat of evil creatures in Los Angeles.
Angel finds himself struggling with his first crush on Fred, feeling a sense of jealousy as she begins to show interest in someone else. Meanwhile, Wesley is still trying to come to terms with his feelings for Fred and must navigate his own awkwardness as a teenager.
Gunn tries to take charge of the situation, believing himself to be the most responsible of the group, but he quickly learns that he's not as mature as he thought he was. Fred, on the other hand, begins to embrace her younger self, finding joy in the simplicity of adolescence.
All the while, the gang must deal with a group of demons who have come to the hotel in search of a powerful artifact that Angel and his crew have in their possession. The demons, not realizing that the gang have reverted back to their teenage selves, try to take advantage of their perceived weakness, but ultimately find that the gang are still a force to be reckoned with.
As the episode progresses, the gang begin to regain their memories and return to their adult selves. However, the experience has left them with a newfound understanding of one another. They realize that they all have their own struggles and insecurities, and that they can rely on each other for support.
"Spin the Bottle" is a fun and lighthearted episode that allows viewers to see a different side of the characters they have grown to love over the seasons. It's a reminder that even the bravest heroes have moments of vulnerability, and that age doesn't necessarily equate to maturity. Despite the threat of evil lurking around every corner, the gang still manage to find moments of joy and humor in their new teenage bodies.
