Ep 5. Supersymmetry

At the start of the episode, Fred is approached by a professor named Seidel who is interested in her work with portals. He invites her to come work with him at the university where he teaches. Fred is initially excited at the opportunity, but she soon begins to doubt herself and her qualifications. Meanwhile, a group of scientists are conducting experiments with a dangerous substance called Tak. The substance has the potential to bring about a new age in human evolution, but it is also highly unstable and unpredictable. Things go awry when one of the scientists accidentally ingests the Tak and gains superhuman abilities.

Angel Investigations is hired by the scientists to find and contain the rogue scientist, who is now wreaking havoc all over the city. While investigating, the team discovers that the Tak has some unexpected side effects. They encounter a group of people who have taken the substance willingly and are exhibiting strange mutations. Some of them have heightened senses, while others have developed strange abilities like telekinesis.

Meanwhile, Fred is struggling to keep up with the demands of her new job. She feels out of place at the university and is disappointed that her work with portals is not being taken seriously. She becomes increasingly frustrated and starts to doubt her abilities as a scientist.

As the team continues to search for the rogue scientist, they discover that the Tak has caused a rift in the fabric of reality. They must race against the clock to prevent the rift from expanding and causing irreversible damage to the world.

In the end, Fred is able to regain her confidence and realize her worth as a scientist. The team is able to contain the Tak and prevent any further damage from occurring. However, the events of the episode have left a lasting impact on the team. They are left wondering if the Tak could be used for good, or if it is too dangerous to be trusted in anyone's hands.
