In the Andromeda season 1 episode 10 titled "Great Neptune's Ocean," the crew of the Andromeda Ascendant comes across yet another problem to solve. They venture off to a planet called Neptunia, which is a world primarily covered in water and populated by an aquatic race of beings known as the Neptunians.
The team's primary objective is to help the Neptunians fend off an impending attack from their neighboring planet, Tartarus. However, as they land on Neptunia, they discover that the planet is currently in a state of chaos because of a political conflict between the land-dwelling and aquatic races.
Captain Dylan Hunt and his team must navigate through this political tension while also safeguarding the Neptunians from the Tartarusian threat. They eventually find out that the Tartarusians are trying to conquer Neptunia as they believe it to be a strategic location for a mining operation. The Tartarusians are willing to do anything to get their hands on Neptunia, even if it means destroying the planet entirely.
The crew faces a race against time to save Neptunia, but they are continually thwarted at every turn. As they delve deeper into the issue, they discover that there is a traitor amongst the Neptunian ranks that is working in cahoots with the Tartarusians.
