Ep 18. Plantar's Last Stand
- July 1, 2019
Anne, Sprig, and Polly head out for a day of fishing in the woods, leaving Hop Pop behind to take care of the farm. While they hunt for the perfect fishing spot, they come across a group of farmers who are on the brink of losing their farm due to an incoming invasion of locusts. The farmers ask for Hop Pop's help, but when they refuse to compensate him, Hop Pop decides to leave them to their fate.
Anne, Sprig, and Polly are furious with Hop Pop for abandoning the farmers in their time of need, and they decide to take matters into their own hands. They rally the townsfolk and set out to save the farm from the locusts. Meanwhile, Hop Pop is left alone on the farm to reflect on his decision.
As the locusts begin to descend upon the farm, the townsfolk fight back with everything they've got. They set up traps, use their own crops as bait, and work tirelessly to fend off the insects. In the chaos of the battle, Anne, Sprig, and Polly are separated from the group and find themselves face-to-face with the leader of the locust army.
With no other options, they channel their inner warriors and engage in a fierce battle against the locust leader. The fight is intense, but Anne, Sprig, and Polly manage to come out on top with the help of some quick thinking and a little luck. The townsfolk are able to hold off the rest of the locusts, and the farm is saved.
As they return to the farm, Anne, Sprig, and Polly confront Hop Pop about his earlier decision. Hop Pop admits that he was wrong to abandon the farmers and vows to always help those in need, regardless of compensation. The townsfolk forgive Hop Pop, and they all celebrate their victory with a big feast.
In the end, Plantar's Last Stand is a heartwarming tale of friendship, determination, and the power of community. It's a reminder that we're all in this together, and that sometimes, the greatest battles are the ones we fight alongside our friends and neighbors.
