Ep 44. Excusa

Victoria and José Angel continue to spend time together and she finally confesses to him that she is not married, nor does she have a boyfriend. The two of them get closer, but Victoria's phone rings and she abruptly leaves to take the call. It's Nikki, who is feeling depressed and lonely. Victoria rushes over to her sister's house to comfort her, but ends up getting into an argument with her instead. Nikki accuses Victoria of stealing her boyfriend and Victoria denies it, saying that she doesn't even know who Nikki's boyfriend is.

Meanwhile, Leonardo is becoming more and more obsessed with Kendra. He decides to throw a surprise party for her at the house and invites all of her friends and family. When Kendra sees what Leonardo has done she is furious, telling him that he has no right to invade her privacy like this. Leo tells her that he did it all out of love, but Kendra is not convinced. Later in the evening, Leo finds Kendra alone and tries to kiss her, but she pushes him away and runs off.

Guzmán and Liliana are also having relationship problems. Liliana is becoming increasingly jealous of Guzmán's relationship with Nikki and accuses him of cheating on her. Guzmán denies it, saying that Nikki is just a friend and he loves Liliana. However, Liliana is not convinced and tells Guzmán that she needs some time alone to think.

Finally, Aníbal returns from his business trip, only to discover that his wife is missing. He tries to call her, but her phone is switched off. Worried, he begins to investigate and soon learns that Victoria has been spending time with José Angel. Aníbal confronts Victoria, demanding to know where she has been and who she has been seeing. Victoria tells him the truth and Aníbal becomes angry, accusing her of being unfaithful. Victoria tells him that she is not his property and she has done nothing wrong, but Aníbal is not convinced.

As the episode draws to a close, all of the characters are left with difficult decisions to make. Will Victoria choose José Angel over Aníbal? Can Leo win Kendra's heart? Will Guzmán and Liliana be able to repair their relationship? And where is Nikki? These questions and more will be answered in the upcoming episodes of Amores Verdaderos.
