Ep 4. Plymouth Rocks

In the fourth episode of season 12 of American Pickers, titled "Plymouth Rocks," pickers Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz travel to Plymouth, Massachusetts to uncover hidden treasure among the town's historical artifacts and antiques.

Their first stop is the Plymouth Antiquarian Society, where they meet with executive director Anne Mason to explore the society's vast collection of Pilgrim-era artifacts and furniture. Among the items is a rare 17th-century bed belonging to William Bradford, one of the founders of Plymouth colony. Mike and Frank are thrilled to learn about the bed's history and its potential value, but they'll have to negotiate carefully with Anne to acquire it.

Next, the pickers head to a local shop called Tumbleweeds Primitives, where they meet owner Gayle Nicholson. Gayle has a barn full of vintage signs, gas pumps, and other memorabilia that she's collected over the years. Mike and Frank are interested in a rare Plymouth Rock souvenir keychain, but Gayle's asking price might make the deal a little too steep.

After leaving Tumbleweeds Primitives, the pickers head to a warehouse in nearby Middleborough to meet with a collector named Peter. Peter has been collecting vintage gas pumps, signs, and other automobilia for decades, and he's amassed an impressive collection. Mike and Frank are blown away by Peter's treasures, including a rare porcelain Mobil Oil sign and a neon Gulf Oil sign. But Peter isn't interested in selling his collection, so the pickers will have to keep looking elsewhere.

Their next stop is a garage in nearby Kingston, where they meet with a man named Bruce who has an incredible collection of vintage sports memorabilia, including a baseball bat signed by Babe Ruth himself. Mike and Frank are excited to explore Bruce's garage and hear the stories behind his many collectibles.

Finally, the pickers head to a local auction where they hope to score some more treasure. The auction features a variety of items, from vintage Coca-Cola machines to antique firearms. Mike and Frank are especially interested in a pair of rare mammoth tusks that could be worth a fortune. But with so many bidders in attendance, the competition is fierce.

Throughout their journey, Mike and Frank encounter a wide variety of collectors and dealers, all with their own unique stories and treasures to share. Whether they're negotiating with Anne for William Bradford's bed, haggling with Gayle over the Plymouth Rock keychain, or checking out Bruce's amazing sports memorabilia, the pickers are always on the hunt for the next big score.
